The platform

Three blind spots. One screen.

01 — Fleet tracking

Every vehicle, every 30 seconds.

Live GPS, route playback, geofencing and driver scoring — engineered for 2G networks and remote mining sites, where most trackers go quiet.

02 — Fuel monitoring

The diesel stops vanishing.

Escort BLE sensors read the tank in litres, with up to 1% measurement error per Escort, cross-checked with GPS and engine state. Siphoning and ghost refuels are flagged in about a minute.

03 — Genset monitoring

Every generator, accounted for.

Runtime hours, tank level and remote diagnostics over Modbus RTU. Works with DSE, ComAp and DATAKOM controllers — built for telecom towers and mining camps.

Where your team already is.

No app required. Theft, idling, overspeed and route deviations arrive on WhatsApp, with the plate, the place and the litres — and GT Fleets, our free Android app, puts the map on your phone.

On the ground

Not a reseller. A field team.

Our technicians install, calibrate and support every device in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Brazzaville. When a sensor needs attention, someone local picks up — day or night. See how GPS tracking in Kinshasa works, from installation to daily use.

General

What does GT AFRIK do?

GT AFRIK SARL provides GPS fleet tracking, fuel monitoring and generator (genset) monitoring for operators in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo. The company is headquartered in Kinshasa and installs and supports every device with its own technicians.

Where does GT AFRIK operate?

GT AFRIK has technicians and 24/7 local support in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi (DRC) and in Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo); the Lubumbashi team also covers Kolwezi and Likasi. As of October 2026, our platform tracks 315 units across Kinshasa and Brazzaville. Matadi is also served on request.

Fleet tracking

Does GPS tracking work on 2G networks and remote mining sites?

Yes. We install Teltonika trackers, and every Teltonika model is integrated with our platform: for example the FMB920 for vehicles and the FMB125 for generator controllers. They work on 2G GSM/GPRS networks and use GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. Positions update every 30 seconds, with route playback, geofencing and driver scoring.

Which vehicles can GT AFRIK track?

Trucks, light vehicles for last-mile delivery, executive sedans, private cars, motorcycles (including courier and moto-taxi bikes) and heavy plant on sites and mines. No fuel sensor is required: core GPS tracking works on any vehicle, and tank-level sensors are an optional add-on.

Can GT AFRIK stop a stolen vehicle remotely?

Yes. We can fit a remote engine cut-off (immobiliser) with the tracker, so an authorised manager can block the engine from the platform if a vehicle is stolen. Its position keeps updating on the map.

Does GT AFRIK install dashcams?

Yes. We install dashcams (video telematics) alongside the tracker, so a trip, an incident or a driver behaviour alert can be checked on video as well as in the GPS record.

Is there a GT AFRIK mobile app?

Yes. GT Fleets, our Android app, is free on Google Play: live vehicle positions, a live map with speed, route history playback, fuel charts, reports and alerts. The app is optional: alerts also arrive on WhatsApp, so no one has to install anything to receive them.

Fuel

How does GT AFRIK detect diesel theft?

Capacitive fuel-level sensors measure the diesel in the tank in litres; we have already integrated Escort, Omnicomm and other sensors. Each change is cross-checked against GPS position and engine state, so siphoning, ghost refuels and suspicious drops trigger a WhatsApp alert with the location and volume in about 60 seconds.

Which diesel fraud schemes does fuel monitoring catch?

Four schemes to watch for in DRC fleets: siphoning (draining the tank while parked, often at night or off-zone), ghost refuelling (for example, a 200 L receipt for a tank that only gained 140 L), extended idling (engines running for hours while parked) and fuel detours (padded routes to justify consumption or resell diesel along the way).

Is the vehicle’s own fuel gauge enough to detect theft?

No. The factory gauge only gives an indication. A capacitive sensor such as the Escort TD-BLE has a measurement error of no more than 1% according to Escort, and every drop is time-stamped and located by GPS.

Generators

Which generator controllers can GT AFRIK monitor?

We read runtime hours, tank level, battery voltage and alarms from DSE, ComAp and DATAKOM controllers over Modbus RTU, straight from the generator controller.

Who uses generator monitoring?

Telecom operators running diesel-powered towers and base stations at remote sites; mining camps and plants in Katanga where the genset is the only power source; and banks, cold storage and hospitals — anywhere an outage costs more than the diesel.

Getting started

What happens after I request a demo?

Someone from the Kinshasa team replies within two working hours, in French or English — on WhatsApp if you left a number. We confirm what you need to track (vehicles, fuel tanks or generators) and send a written quote; our own technicians then install the devices.

How are alerts delivered?

Alerts for theft, idling, overspeed, geofence entry or exit and route deviations are sent to WhatsApp, so no extra app is required. Dashboards, reports and support are available in French and English.

How long does installation take, and is there a contract?

Installation is coordinated by our local team and fleets are typically live within 24 hours. There is no long-term contract requirement. To start, request a demo or message +243 817 255 555 on WhatsApp.

How much does GPS tracking cost with GT AFRIK?

GT AFRIK tracking subscriptions start from US$25 per month. Your written quote confirms the price for your vehicles and options (fuel sensor, engine cut-off, dashcam). There is no long-term contract.
